Bio

Ethan Stearley is an Indiana-based composer whose music is motivated by exploration. Ethan’s work is rooted in the interplay of contrast, transformation, and narrative, and his work aims to navigate between momentum and suspension, precision and disorder, creating environments where musical ideas are stretched, fractured, and reassembled. Ethan enjoys a playful and experimental approach to composition.

Ethan Stearley graduated with an MM in Music Composition from Western Michigan University, studying under Dr. Lisa Coons and Dr. Christopher Biggs. Additionally, he has earned a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University.
